Our friends over the sea in the Netherlands are okay with both weed smoking and Manhunt 2.
In a letter to parliament, Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin said there was no way to ban the controversial, hyper-violent game under Dutch law. But he did point out that if the imagery in the game was violent enough, it would be possilbe to prosecute people who sell it to kids under the age of 16. "Possible" doesn't sound too likely to us.
"The current law is based on the principle that every adult is considered capable of deciding for himself which games he wants to play, unless it contains illegal material," Hirsh Ballin said. That would include racist propaganda or images appealing to pedophiles."
Wait, adults can decide for themselves what they want to play? Amazing!
