AT&T Threatens iPhone Unlockers

Posted August 27, 2007 - By bleahy

UniquePhones, the group that runs iPhoneUnlocking.com, has been pressured by AT&T to hold off on releasing their software SIM unlocking program. The program reportedly will allow for a full SIM unlock for the iPhone.

This, like other methods, would allow US users to use the iPhone on T-Mobile. It would also allow international users to use the iPhone before it is released overseas.

UniquePhones is "evaluating what to eventually do with the software should they be legally denied the right to sell it," and the release of the software is officially delayed indefinitely.

Go hackers! Fight the good fight!
