If you want to get your education in the the gaming industry, and join the ranks of elite, highly paid gaming professionals, Columbus State University has a deal for you. The institution of higher learning opened a gaming department this year.
But don't think the program is played in easy mode. According to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, the program is challenging. Hard enough, even, to put some students off, with them saying the major requires too much math.
"This is a rigorous program," computer science department chairman Wayne Summers said, "There's a fair amount of mathematics, and physics and programming."
"This is a university degree...They will take English and math. The whole philosophy of American education is the broad range of topics." He added.
