Scott Kissinger is a man after my own heart. The man who developed the first PT Cruiser enthusiast website is now circulating an online petition asking Chrysler not to stop making the car, which they are tentatively planning on doing in 2009. Kissinger cites the fact that the Cruiser is still the second most popular car that Chrysler makes and that sales continue to be brisk, which is true.
No one knows why, exactly, the car company is choosing to stop production of the PT Cruiser, but it really doesn't make any sense. After all, the PT Cruiser is the perfect car for someone who is going through a mid-life crisis and can't afford to buy a Saab.
