Sources close to rock vets The Rolling Stones says their current tour, the Bigger Bang worldwide trek, wil be the band’s last, and that this Sunday’s gig at London's O2 Arena will be the band’s last.
Right.
And monkeys will fly out of my arse!
These guys have been threatening to retire since the early ‘80s, and I don’t care how old they get, Mick ‘n’ Keef will rock ‘till they drop!
But these “sources” say that after 45 years in the music business, Jagger, 64, and Riff-hard, 63, are just too dang old to get up on stage and kick ass anymore.
"We've been told this will be the last tour. Embarking on a Stones world tour takes years to plan. Mick and Keith would be in their late 60s by the time they would be ready to rock once more,” the source said.
The band was formed in 1962, has released 55 albums, had 37 Top 10 singles, sold over 300 million albums worldwide and played more concerts than any other group in the history of mankind. Sure, they deserve to retire…I just don’t see it happening until they are 140 years old!
