In spite of having been released over a year after the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii has overtaken its rival in total worldwide sales.
According to vgchartz.com, who say their data is "based on sample data from retailers all over the world," during the week ending August 23, The Nintendo's Wii stood at 10.57 million consoles sold, having passed Xbox 360 lifetime sales of 10.51 million units.
That makes Nintendo the champion of both the handheld and the console markets.
We blame our mom. While the Wii in TheFeed's heavily armed compound usually sits around gathering dust while we play on our PS3, 360 and Colecovision systems and wait for Super Mario Galaxies and Metroid Prime 3, when Mom TheFeed comes to visit, it's all about the Wii.
