Oops. The demo version of Silent Hill Origins for the PSP was leaked to the internet machines, showing up on the BitTorrent sites all the kids keep writing rap songs about. The demo was set up to be unveiled at the Leipzig Game Show, but now the surprise is ruined.
According to Karl Jeffery, CEO and founder of the game's developer, Climax, told GamesIndustry.biz he is "100 per cent" certain the leak did not come from Climax.
"At Climax we have strong and proven security procedures that protect all of our code, assets and builds," said Jeffery. "We have developed over 100 titles in 20 years in business and have never had a leak or theft from inside the company."
The culprit is Konami, then, according to Jeffery.
The full version of the game comes out later this year...and hopefully it won't find its way to torrent sites first.
