Romeo Takes A Bite Outta Hip Hop

Posted by Frank Meyer - Tuesday, August 07, 2007 10:21 AM

Rappin’ actor Romeo recently bought Rap Snacks, a line of potato chips, whose slogan is “The Official Snack of Hip-Hop.”

Flavors featuring Romeo include Original, Bar-B-Quin With My Honey (shouldn’t that be “With My Homie”?), Back at the Ranch, and Hot and Spicy.

Rapper Yung Joc also has his own line of cheese curls, coming in flavors Original, Honey Dew, and Sweet and Hot…which I have dudded “Beef, Then Shot.”

Thats Called Materialistic Rap In the 80's and early 90's rapping was story tellin

how it went from story telling to bling bling and half naked women is beyond me but ive always loved rap but lately i find myself laughing at what some people call rap

it sadens me to see what hip hop has reduced to. just stick to the music and maybe clothes IF ur that popular. but lil romeo def isnt.

lil romeo is popular with some kids because he had that show on nickelodeon and they probably still play reruns of it.

@Anonymous User

how can you put "bong" in a bag of chips?

@sleekonia

even a clothing line is pushing it.

"I mean I Rap And I Cant Even walk Down The road without some lookin at me with the devilish eye because they know what i do"

(sarcasm)yeah, i bet they do.
rap is so mainstream nobody, including old people and little kids, would give you a "devilish eye". unless you are a white rapper, in which case they are laughing at you.

@kyle_lowery

rap and hip-hop are not the same thing. rap(the crap on the radio) does need to go away. hip-hop on the other hand, while not my favorite genre of music, is awesome. i would go into greater detail but i'm lazy.

whats next " bootylicious bubble gum?"

Posted by BoredSoldier - Tuesday, August 07, 2007 3:36 PM
Bootylicious bubble gum? I like where this is going...

Serious though, kids that listen to rap ain't trekkies. I'm not even sure if you could market a bag of Star Trek chips to Trekkies, so I can't see how this can do anything but flop. I mean, how can it fight against dorritos? It's crazy man! Crazy!

Eh I rather have a Flavor Flav Fruit juice box than eat some cruddy chips endorsed and based on a kid rapper. I don't like Romeo's music anyways.
