The first two Godfather movies are among the best feature films ever made. The Godfather videogame, uh, maybe among the top games to come out during the month of its release? Still, it's a pretty fun game that a lot of people bought, and so, as you could have predicted, there is a sequel coming.
During the Electronic Arts shareholder meeting today, EA Games head Frank Gibeau was asked about EA's mature games. He responded thusly: "The appeal of those types of games is growing as the demographics start to open up for that older demographic...We make products like Godfather 2, Army Of Two, Crysis - a lot of products that appeal to that older customer."
So there you have it. It could be a slip of the tongue, but, given the success of the first Godfather game and the game industry's love of sequel, we're betting on an in-development Godfather seque.
