'Sesame Street' Primetime Special

Posted July 24, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

You know how, every couple of weeks or so, you get an email from a friend of yours talking about how PBS is getting rid of Sesame Street, because of some draconian governmental legislation? Well, not only is the Street not going away from its home on the PBS, but it's getting a primetime holiday special to boot.

Ben Stiller, some of the cast of The Sopranos, and various and sundry singers and whatnot will star in Elmo's Christmas Countdown, which will air...um...in December.

We just thought you might be happy to see some good news. Face it, you love Sesame Street. And, if you don't, you are a communist pig-dog, and we will hunt your family down to teach you a lesson about our beloved American culture.

Have a nice day!
