2K Sports, the fine folks that gave us NBA and MLB 2K, is launching a music tour to promote their new game, All-Pro Football 2K8.
The All Pro Tour with DJ Z-Trip kicks off on July 23 and features many of the artists on the soundtrack, including rappers Aceyalone, Gift of Gab and, on select dates, rap legend Rakim and M-1 of Dead Prez
“It’s rare when an artist can design an original soundtrack that integrates seamlessly into a video game and then transition that to a live setting,” says Tim Rosa, 2K Sport’s Director of Brand and Lifestyle Marketing. “DJ Z-Trip has accomplished this feat, so we’re excited to introduce his live mix show with various musicians and emcees from the soundtrack coupled with a live VJ kicking out visuals — this is going to be a sick show.”
He ain’t lyin’, folks. Rakim, M-1 and Acey of Freestyle Fellowship? That’s just plain nuts…
