
The GameBoy brand may soon be joining the Virtual Boy, ROB the robot and the NES in the Valhalla of dead Nintendo systems.
"This year in our marketing you really won't see much push against Game Boy itself, so it will kind of seek its own level. It's hard to say in the future if we will ever bring back the Game Boy trademark," Nintendo of America's George Harrison, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications, told GameDaily BIZ in an interview.
Good riddance, we say. That damn green screen and clonkly controls are just no match for the adorable Nintendo DS. Although, the GBA still functions as a gateway system for legions of kiddies who enjoy its now almost entirely kid-centric offerings.
