Well the price cut appears to be working, as the PS3 has overtaken the Wii as the #1 seller in the videogame category on Amazon.com. In its own mini sales war, the SIXAXIS has also shot up to the #4 slot above the Wiimote, which is at #8.
TheFeed suspects this is due to a ton of people buying a PS3 today after the price-drop. They were probably on the fence about it and bit after the drop.
It remains to be seen if this trend continues, but E3 should help Sony if they have a strong software showing.
