Sometimes, jmanalang hangs out with me too much and I urge him not to drive after because frankly, I’m no good behind the wheel. Thankfully he listens to me, and if he had the latest version of Nissan’s Carwings navigation system, he's stay right on track.
Nissan’s new navi-system displays several reminders to the driver between the hours of 5:30 pm and 5:00 am. After starting up the system, it displays "Do not drive after drinking!" for five seconds. the Carwings keeps up the friendly reminders for the rest of the day, such as "Let’s continue safe driving today."
For now, it's only available in the Japanese market. Hopefully, it will make it here soon, so it can help keep potential alcoholics (like my friend) off the steering wheel while intoxicated.
