Old People Rock!

So who is the hottest new band to storm the nation and light up the ol’ Internets? Is it a bunch of hot tens our Birmingham, New York or Seattle? Nope. Is it a cool, tough new rapper with eight bullet holes in his septum to prove his street cred? Nope. It’s Young@Heart, a group of senior citizens who cover songs by Radiohead, OutKast, Coldplay, and Nirvana and play senior citizen homes and events.

Fred Knittle wears his belt up high. His nose is tethered to an oxygen tank, and on stage he's confined to a folding chair. From this unlikely perch, he's turning rock 'n' roll on its head.

Don’t believe me?

Dude, they are on MySpace (www.myspace.com/youngatheartchorus), so it has to be real!

Watch them cover “Schizophrenia” by Sonic Youth  above and you will never be the same…seriously…never the same…
