Marilyn Manson vs. My Chemical Romance

In an act of supreme hypocrisy, Marilyn Manson is lashing out against gothy alt rockers My Chemical Romance via a song called "Mutilation Is The Most Sincere Form of Flattery" off his new Eat Me, Drink Me album. He accuses the muchnyounger, hipper band of ripping off his act.

Now, ain't that the pot calling the kettle black?

"I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done,” Manson told a London Paper. “If they want to identify with me then here's a razor blade. Call me when you're done and we'll talk."

Wow. It’s almost as if Manson forgot he ripped his ENTIRE act off from Alice Cooper (from the look to the sound to the theatrical shtick, kiddies) and not once has cited him as an influence. In fact, Manson has dissed The Coop over the years as being a trite shock rocker, while he is, of course, a real artist.

So...um...how do I put this lightly.....F-U ya side-windin' dochebag!

Hey, anyone remember that cheesy ‘80s band Kingdom Come who sounded EXACTTLY like Led Zep yet claimed they had never even heard Zeppelin? Sound familiar, Manson…?
