Ubisoft Posts 24% Rise in Earnings

Posted May 30, 2007 - By Dana Leahy

French videogame publisher Ubisoft has some steam behind them going into the new year. The company just announced a 24.4% increase in earnings for the last fiscal year, totalling almost $917 million dollars.

That's a lot of millions of dollars. How did they do it? Ubisoft had several hit titles this past year, on a variety of consoles including Rainbow Six Vegas and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Avanced Warfighter for the Xbox 360 and Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii.

More than 60% of their profits came from Next Gen gaming. We guess it really is the future. What will Ubisoft do with all that money? Well, they're French, so they'll probably drink some wine, eat some baguettes and pee in the street.
