Soldiers In Iraq Organize Gaming Con

Soldiers stationed in Iraq are holding a gaming convention. The Ziggurat Con, probably the first role-playing game convention ever held in a warzone, is scheduled for June 9th 2007 from 1200 to 2100 hours.

The con, named after a ziggurat from the ancient city of Ur on the grounds of the Tallil Airbase and Camp Adder in Iraq, was organized by Chairman SPC David Amberson who gathered fellow Dungeons & Dragons and Magic:The Gathering fans and coordinated an effort to supply  games, dice, and other RPG equipment to would-be wizards and elves.

The con will feature a ping-pong room for casting magic missile, and anime in the movie room. Throw 20s, fellas.
