First WiMax Laptop PC Card Approved

Posted May 2, 2007 - By Josh Lawson

In a move that will have you jumping for joy on the wireless world of internet, regulators have approved the very first WiMax wireless broadband laptop PC card.

Offered by Clearwire Corp., the WiMax laptop PC card fits into a standard Type II laptop card slot and can be used with Windows Vista and XP operating systems.

For those not in the know, the WiMax network provides a faster wireless Internet service along with being accessible at a wider range. Translated to nerd speak: Porn, porn, porn...porn, porn, porn...porn...faster download time.

Bringing the WiMax laptop PC card to the market later this year, Clearwire currently has 206,000 subscribers using the WiMax service.

If you are a betting man, my money would be on buying some of that publicly traded Clearwire stock....cause it's gonna be sizzlin' in 2008.
