Hey, we thought "burnout paradise" was Amsterdam, but it's also the fifth iteration of the most destructive racing game in history, and it's headed to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this winter.
"We have been working towards Burnout Paradise for quite some time," said Pete Hawley, executive producer on the game. "Next generation consoles have opened up a raft of new gameplay opportunities and the Criterion team has leapt at the chance to innovate and raise the bar to an all new high.... Instant accessibility will be reinforced by innovative online capabilities which will see Burnout Paradise smash racing conventions.''
Judging from the crashless trailer up on IGN, the game looks amazing. Pretty, even. We'll just keep our fingers crossed and trust that the smashes will be as, well, smashing as the more placid scenes depicted in the video.
