Hey, remember when 50 Cent ridiculed Ja Rule for going pop and using female R&B backing singers on his hooks….and then turned around and made the worst pop-rap song of all time, “Candy Shop”? Well, now 50 cementing his goofy pop star image by teaming with teen hunk Justin Timberlake, crooner Robin Thicke and Pussycat Dolls chick Nicole Scherzinger for his upcoming album, Curtis.
Yes, in addition to production work by Dr. Dre, Eminem and Timbaland, 50 has gotten the cheesiest roster of talent on his album this side of…er…Ja Rule!
Of course, the album will feature some credible guest turns, from the likes of Eminem, Akon, and Mary J. Blige, but surely he must realize that an N'Syncher, the son of TV ham Alan Thicke, and a girl from Carmen Elektra’s group CANNOT possibly make for a credible affair, can it?
Curtis is due June 26 via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. The first single, "Straight to the Bank," debuted at No. 21 on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart. So what do I know…
