The PSP will get a new recommended retail price in the UK of £129.99 (from £149.99), effective May 4. Jolly good!

This follows on the heals of the U.S. price-slash of a few weeks ago.

The portable will also get a price drop across the rest of Europe to 169 euros

The company said they cut the prices to celebrate the PlayStation 3's launch in Europe. Ray Maguire, Sony Computer Entertainment UK managing director, said in a statement, "now the exciting possibility of connecting remotely to the PS3 makes PSP more relevant than ever. So what better time to offer a brand-new price point?"

Get 'em while they're cheap, ya limeys and frogs!
