The release of the Xbox 360 Elite is right around the corner! 

We think the thing is rad (as the kids say), I mean, 120gig harddrive, HDMI port, and it's black...is there anything hipper than that?

It's not all love, though...GamePro a list of gripes about the Elite... in the interest of even time, their main points are re-posted below.

1. The over abundance of 360 models is confusing to the consumer and unnecessary  

1. The word “Elite” conjures up images of high class and wealth and with the Xbox 360 Elite still being cheaper than the PS3, it doesn’t live up to its namesake   
2. It doesn’t support wireless networking    
3. People who already own 360s are getting screwed over royally
4. It won’t run any quieter than the other versions of the Xbox 360    
5. It doesn’t come with an installed or USB connectable HD-DVD drive    
6. Using the color black for consoles is so last-gen    
7. The addition of HDMI and a larger hard drive won’t really benefit hard-core gamers
