They'll make a game about anyone these days. Case-in-point: British comedian Mr. Bean is getting his own PlayStation 2 title.
It's coming from Blast! Entertainment, a British gaming company that focuses mainly on bargain games for kids (Thomas the Tank Engine, etc.) There is no release date given.
According to the company, the game will feature Mr. Bean in "3D levels, avoiding tricky traps and problem solving along the way to find his missing Teddy with the help of Bean's girlfriend Irma Gobb."
Sean Brennan, MD Blast! Entertainment commented - "It is very gratifying to have secured Mr.Bean in our continuing efforts to sign up high profile movie, TV and cartoon licenses to create games aimed at kids and families, with the overall mission to provide a publishing platform to bridge the gap between mainstream children's film and TV to interactive entertainment."
Hmm. Also, did you know: "92% of children under 11 are great Mr.Bean fans and 67% of children under 11 watch the TV series regularly?" You do now.
I, for one, find Mr. Bean creepy and nightmarish. Many others find him hilarious, however.
