Get to know the videogame beatin’, drool-inducing, cosplay sexpot, Amanda, check out her saucy photos and maybe even get a clue or two about how to land a gaming babe just like her.
So, how old are you?
Where are you from?
Boca Raton, FL
How did you get into videogames?
My brother and I, we’re close in age. We’re 14 months apart. He’s younger. I’m the oldest one and I remember playing NES and Super Nintendo growing up. We’ve always been playing. We had the big Game Boys, the Super Game Boy, the Game Boy Advance, now we both have our DSs. I have the pink DS, I carry it everywhere. I’ve pretty much been gaming all my life.
What are you playing now?
Right now in my DS I have Cooking Mama. I bought it for the Wii and I was really disappointed with it. I didn’t like the controls too much. It just didn’t seem that fun, unlike Trauma Center. I have played Trauma Center for the DS and I have played it for the Wii. I love it for the Wii. Oh my god! Everyone that has a Wii, I tell them to get it. Still playing WarioWare on the Wii. It’s an excellent game, its so much fun. It’s incredible. Completely amazing!
I’m playing World of Warcraft right now. My brother just convinced me to start an Alliance character and that’s kind of hard for me because I love the Horde. In my Game Cube I have Smash Brothers. I love Smash. I main Fox and he is a difficult character to main. He’s the fastest character in the game. In my PS2 I have Guitar Hero.
What consoles do you own?
I own Super NES, the NES, the 64. I actually have a Pikachu 64 that I rescued when I worked at EB. Someone brought it in as a trade in and I snatched it up right away. Game Cube, Wii, PS2, then I’ve got a PS2 and DS.
What are your favorite games of all time?
I definitely couldn’t put them in an order. I guess a big game that’s really important to me is Dance Dance Revolution it pretty much changed my life. I lost a lot of weight from the game, I gained a lot of friends and it pretty much opened me up to the world of anime and cosplay and that’s how I got into cosplaying videogame characters.
Anything in the Beatmania series, actually Beatmania IIDX I actually own an arcade machine, Dance Maniacs, It’s kind of like DDR but with your hands.
I love Star Fox, always will.Fox is definitely one of my favorite characters. I love Zelda. It’s a classic. How could you not? Pretty much any music games. I love Guitar Hero. I love Amplitude. WarrioWare right now. Trauma Center is really high up on my list. It’s one of my favorite games. I could play it forever and ever and ever. World of Warcraft, I love it. Honestly, it’s the cure for boredom. Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart, Tetris. I love Tetris. It’s just fun. I love puzzle games.
What games are you looking forward to?
Smash Bros. Brawl.
When did you start cosplaying?
The very first time I cosplayed was 2002, the very end of the year and that was as an anime character. It was for a small convention in South Florida.
Why did you start cosplaying?
It looked like a lot of fun and the fact that you were able to portray a character seemed like it would be a lot of fun and I enjoy it a lot. I like the challenge of making my costume and wearing them. It’s the biggest reward when people say, "Hey, you’re so and so from that videogame!"
What do you think the attraction for most girls is to cosplay?
Honestly, I guess it varies for different people. I know people that love to sew and they cosplay to sew. Some people just love being somebody else. I like being somebody else. To me, that’s a lot of fun. It’s just an escape from reality. It’s an attention getter and I’m not going to lie, like most girls I do like attention.
What kind of attention do you get from most guys when you’re wearing that kind of stuff?
Positive. You know, being called sexy. Stuff like that. It’s very, very flattering and it brings a smile to my face.
As a gamer, are you more likely to date a guy who games over one who doesn’t?
I’m actually really picky. I can’t date a guy that doesn’t play videogames, because that’s a big part of my life and that’s something I’m doing. I’m either on the internet or I’m playing videogames.
You must get hit on a lot. How does an average gamer go about getting a lady like you?
Recently I’ve been getting a lot of attention on MySpace, because when you guys [at TheFeed] did post the picture of me, they did go to the Miss Videogame website and find my profile and in my profile there was a link to my MySpace
If you could be any videogame vixen, which one would it be?
I definitely want to make more of Kazumi’s [from Dead or Alive] outfits. I love Kazumi, she’s strong, she’s a fighter and she’s sexy. Krystal from Starfox minus her staff. Her staff is kind of stupid, but she kicks ass. There are a couple of characters out there that a majority of people aren’t going to be familiar with and they’re from the game Beatmania IIDX. My two favorite characters are DJ Celica. She’s got long purple hair and she’s got crazy outfits and she’s just hot and the same thing with DJ Iroha. She’s got long red hair and again, crazy outfits and they’re both just really sexy looking. I love Samus Aran. I love her so much that I named my black lab/border collie mix after her.
If you could be with any videogame character(s), who would it be and why?
Definitely Fox McCloud. I love Fox. I have an inside joke with my friends that Fox is my husband. I have a giant cardboard cutout of him. I will say Riku from Kingdom Hearts. He’s pretty hot.
I think Riku’s underage, isn’t he?
Hey, we don’t talk about that. I mean, in Florida, sixteen’s the age of consent.
What are your turn ons?
First of all, playing videogames, duh! I like geekiness. I think that’s really, really, really cute. Geekiness, glasses. Someone that’s just into videogames and someone that’s intelligent. Honestly, I can’t have a conversation with a stupid person.
How did you find out about the Miss Videogame contest?
I honestly don’t remember.
Anything you want to say to all the drooling fanboys reading this?
Keep gaming. Game girls; don’t drool over them, because it doesn’t impress them. They don’t like it. Just hang out with them, talk to them, try to be their friend, don’t just be like, “Oh my god, you’re so hot! I love you! Date me! Marry me! We’re people too. We’re normal. We have lives. We work. We go to school. We do whatever. We’re normal people.”
Do you have any parting words?
For the Horde.
There you have it boys, a girl with more gaming acumen than you’ve got achievement points and a nice caboose to boot. If you liked the lady in the wild getups, you can cast your vote for her or drop her a line.
