There once was a time when the United States was synonymous with blue jeans, hot blondes and technology above and beyond any third world country.... Now we just import it.
According to a report released by the World Economic Forum "the US has lost its position as the world's primary engine of technology" and moved on down the ranks to seventh place.
Blamed on the "deterioration of the political and regulatory environment in the US," we now find ourselves behind the likes of Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Finland, Switzerland and the Netherlands....all but one of them taking our trademark hot blondes.
While the World Economic Forum judges on the "integration of technology in business, the infrastructure available, government policy favourable for fostering a culture of innovation and progress and leadership in promoting the usage of the latest information technology tools," we here in the US just want our cool s**t, hot chicks and - of course - our porn.
No wonder why we have dropped in ranking....
