Posted March 29, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

The awards keep piling up for former Vice-President Al Gore. After his Oscar for An Inconvenient Truth, he will now be given an International Emmy Award for his part in starting Current TV, a depot for short programming and tech-heavy stuff for younger viewers. The award will be given in November in New York City.

Soon, you can look for the Veep to be a Tony Award nominee, for the Broadway version of An Inconvenient Truth, called Truth!, with lyrics by Tim Rice. The biggest set piece comes with Global Warming sings his song of death to Mr. Gore, as the tides flood the stage. It will be devestating. Also, Al Gore will be played by Joel Grey, the grand old dame of Broadway.
