Gamestop, the world’s largest video game retailer, has posted some huge numbers for 2006. Despite some fan compaints, the retailer managed to post an increase of business somewhere in the area of $2 billion, coming at an annual total of $5.3 billion as compared to the $3.1 billion of last year.

The retail giant also reported an increase of 72% in total sales. And they’re not stopping there. Gamestop anticipates company growth of another 19 to 21% in 2007. The company is also planning on opening 450-500 new stores around the globe in this fiscal year. So, if you’re out there and you have a problem with Gamestop, I suggest you deal with it, because these guys are going to be around a long long long long time.
