I like the whole idea of going past lvl-20, but how are they goona do the skill points, and jump, did they say JUMP. Also would i be able to play a Char Warrior,or neother profession. But as so as eye of north comes out. I should have enough after coming back from Iraq, nice X-mas gift to myself.

Too bad they haven't announced any more news. GW2 sounds interesting and GW:EN (even though I'm a little bit disappointed they are not making one last Champaign) is good for long time GW players like myself. I hope GW2 isn't too much like WoW. WoW has a good following... but copying off of them too much won't necessarily take much if any business from WoW. But from what I hear now about GW2, it looks like they are moving in the right direction by letting us jump around and interact with our environment and with each other. I am disappointed about the level cap being raised... that will just encourage grinding... and I do enough of that at work. As for GW:EN, I hope we either find out what happened to Gwen, or where the hell did the old Gods go.. cause damn.. this story has too many loose ends.

I think GW 2 will be a big leap in the evolution of Guild Wars. True there isn't a lot of info on it yet but I understand that if a player has asked for a feature, they are going to try to put it in... within reason of course. I think GW 2 will give the other persistent MMOs out there a run for their money... and considering there's still no subscription fees... well they have it hands down vs. the other free MMOs ... and that's without even seeing it yet.

This is definitely a step ahead for Guild Wars...if you want to read a hilarious thread in the jact.com forums about Guild Wars vs. WOW ...then go here

http://www.jact.com/forum/vi ewtopic.php?t=166

*Also, JACT has a ton of WOW and Guild Wars users earning free stuff...you might wanna check out the free services they offer also (kinda like credit card miles for gamers). It's invite only, you'll need to click the invites link in the header and request to be part of their BETA.

God Speed GuildElite, May god bless you with all his might.

Wait we are going to be level 100 or what? Level 100 would suck but being level 50 would be awsome. Who will beta test it or how do you sign up.

Posted by game_fr3eak - Tuesday, April 17, 2007 6:07 PM

Ok what is the max level gonna be im looking forward to that level 20 is gay i have 8 of them....and it took me 1 week to get all of them....also when and how do you sign up for beta testing???

Posted by sandworm - Wednesday, April 18, 2007 10:18 AM

noooooo leave the cap, thats y i play gw more, it needs skill not time, and 100, thats more then most games, thats way to high, 30, 40 most, 50 is a bit to high, i say keep the lvls almost the same raise it by 5 or 15 but not that much

Posted by vigilantmooch - Thursday, April 26, 2007 12:48 AM

well if they are going to raise the lvl cap... that doesnt neccisarily mean grinding. im sure they got a bunch of quests and high lvl content to get you to w/e lvl they're settin it to....

basicly im sayin stop whining and we'll see how it goes when we get there

Posted by birdeye - Sunday, April 29, 2007 8:49 PM

Everything seems like it's gonna be a great expansion... I just hope they make it so we can have Gwen as a hero.

Posted by germanzrok - Tuesday, May 8, 2007 2:53 PM

GW2 sounds like a pretty good step ahead for GW..but if they make it anything like wow i'd burn the game. wow is one of the worst mmo's out there. i've lost some friends to it and im sure ill lose more..people just get so addicted to it..its gay..but i hope GW2 is pretty kick ass.

I am a diehard GW fan, and not matter what Arena Net does with Guild Wars i have the full confidence that they will surprise (in a good way) us as much as they already are, and whatever their cooking up must be pretty darn good to stop the production of a campaign that would have brought in a ton more money. Good job Arena Net keep up the good work!

Posted by MisterMeister - Thursday, May 31, 2007 5:55 PM

and i agree with germanzrok, friends tried to drag me into WoW. Wasted a good $90(equivalent to almost buying 2 campaigns)for about 3 weeks of play. After that, i dropped it like a rock.

I also played WoW, and thought that the action was far too slow. I got several friends who played WoW to play Guild Wars, they all liked it better than WoW and said GW had better graphics. Though I do wish Tengu were a playable race in GW2...

Posted by Will993 - Thursday, July 12, 2007 7:31 AM

Persistent, new races, no subscription fee!! I love arena net :D i can't wait till it comes out... i really can't

Posted by bob_of_da_war - Thursday, July 26, 2007 10:14 AM

It only said high lvl cap doesn't mean lvl 100. And then they may have made it easier to lvl up. So quit whining

Posted by Sedgehammer - Saturday, July 28, 2007 3:12 AM

I assume it'll be more difficult to level up, and if the Prophecies team has anything to do with it, Guild Wars 2 will mean more grinding than ever before. While jumping sounds great, I don't really care to play as non-human races, especially not charr, and I feel like it focusses too heavily on continuing the Prophecies campaign. Nightfall is probably the best campaign, and I like Factions a lot, too, but if Eye of the North is the segue to Guild Wars 2, I don't know what to expect.

I really don't feel like playing WoW, and it sounds like that's just what Guild Wars 2 aims to be. Hopefully, they will devise a way to maintain the district and region system they've been using so that we don't run into the "you don't play on my server" problem.

I like ArenaNet. I'm sure it'll be good. They have the best graphics out of any MMO in my opinion (most beautiful women).

i think the team that did factions is working on gw2
