'Castlevania' Loses Its Director

Posted March 27, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

Sad news, Castlevania fans. The director that was attached to the Castlevania movie, Paul W.S. Anderson, he of Resident Evil and Alien Vs. Predator fame, has dropped out, presumably to work on a Death Race 2000 remake/sequel. What does this mean for the Castlevania project? Well, frankly, it's not good.

This project has been stuck in what Hollywood likes to call 'development hell' since the project was announced, which means that they just can't lock down a script or story that they like. At the very least, it's going to be a long, long time before Castlevania hits theaters, and there's a very good chance that it will never get made.
