DVD Pirates Put Hit Out On Dogs

Posted March 22, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

You have to sink pretty low in your chosen profession to consider putting a hit out on two dogs. And, yet, that's what Asian DVD pirates did, and the two DVD-sniffing pooches, Lucky and Flo, are in hiding.

You might think this is a negligible business, but pirated films made over $1.2 billion in the Asia Pacific region last year. So, the MPAA lent them some dogs to try and sniff out pirated discs.

In fact, these low-lifes are so pansy that they couldn't even execute the dogs themselves. Nope, they put out a bounty for the dogs, so that others would take care of it for them. The authorities were tipped off, and the dogs were placed in protective custody. No word from the dogs about retaliation.
