All these announcements of formerly PlayStation-only titles going multi-platform are getting a little old. But it looks like Final Fantasy XIII might be the next game to take the plunge.
Previously, the role-playing game was in development as a PS3 exclusive, but it might be headed to other consoles as well.
Sony Computer Entertainment France president Georges Fornay told French newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace, "The development costs of games have exploded, and it has become more difficult to have exclusives, outside of our own games. But we have for launch day [in France] 30 games, including MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Virtua Fighter 5. Moreover, we are expecting 200 games [for the PS3] by the end of 2007... As far as Final Fantasy XIII goes, I can tell you that the exclusivity is in discussion."
There has been no word from game makers Square Enix on the title's exclusivity.
Looks like Sony's final fantasy may be a killer exclusive title, eh? Huh? Get it? Get it? Guys?
