The Recording Industry A-holes of America (RIAA) are cracking down even harder on file-sharing college students, sending out thousands more complaints to universities this school year than it did last year.
In fact, Ohio and Purdue universities have already received more than 1,000 complaints accusing individual students since last fall. Students who get caught get punishments vary from e-mail warnings to semester-long suspensions from classes.
It seems the RIAA is trying to pressure schools into acting more aggressively against online pirates on campus...
Wait a second.
TheFeed thought we were talking about file-sharing. You’re telling us there are friggin’ pirates storming these campuses? Well, no wonder the RIAA is so mad! We can’t let pirates rape and pillage our university students?!?! Someone call the national guard!
