New 'Mortal Kombat' Wii Screens

TheFeed has been hurt by the Mortal Kombat francise before. After the amazing joy of the first two titles, various follow-ups have just not managed to live up the hype.

Although we vowed to never get our hopes up about Mortal Kombat ever again, these screenshots from the Wii version of the bloody, violent fighter have shaken our promise: We are officially drooling over the possibilities of Wii based MK. God help us.

Too bad the move for the spear is apparently the same thing as what that last demonstration shows, but hey it's probably still fun.

Please let this franchise die. The last few titles have been an embarrasment to MK fans. There are only so many times you can "Finish him". Plus, the game has gotten so difficult to play, one must invest countless hours to maybe master a combo which can never really be pulled off in an actual game unless you practice for months straight No one can just pick it up and pull off cool manuevers like Soul Calibur. Can't Ed Boon come up with something new and originl? I guess the answer is a bloody no.

I dont want MK to die. I just want them to make better games. And seriously i dont even know how good a fighting game will ever be on the wii.

well so long as you have a gamecube or classic controller the game shouldn't be that hard to master

it looks great to play, cant wait, ill buy it even if it only gets a 3 on X-Play :D (what i really mean is, im not aloud to go to blockbuster :P)

perhaps you have forgotten about deception? That was probably the best mortal kombat to come out since mortal kombat 2. I don't know how good this game will be, the wii controller will at least make it interesting though.

I think the Wii will produce some incredible first-person shooters, as well as sword-fighting games and such. It's just a matter of what game companies are smart enough to realize this. If this is a multi-directional combat game, I don't quite understand how the Wiimote would work. Isn't based on movements? If the character was facing a different way, you'd probably have to swing the wiimote in a different direction. I dunno. :((( But I AM excited for some FPS action, and sword-fighting RPGs and whatnot.

i agree wit king james wit tha ps3 and 360 they define next gen wit graphics and other stuff but i do have a wii which the only improvement is tha controller and menu but i am hopefully going to buy a ps3 soon or 360 cuz the wii is entertaining and fun to play at times and i cant wait for super smash bros. brawl

Calm your ass down hetman,I agree with cochi the wii is fun n entertaining but it's not for hardcore gamers like myself,when the wii gets more games that I like like basketball games that involve using the wii mote i'll be sure to get mii a wii,but for now im happy with my ps3 and 360,but in the future i'll get a wii!

Im happy with the 360 and the wii. I am not saying the ps3 will be shitty for ever. But if your a hardcore "gamer" i guess the only game your playing is RFOM.

If you hadn't gotten this game already in one of its previus system forms, why get it now? and if you did get it, will waving your arms around enhance gameplay that much? I think not

not only is he a lebron james wannabe(a most likely pale whiteboy at that) but he thinks that he knows his VIDEOGAMES! first of all we all know who is the oldest and greatest master of the videogame consoles: NINTENDO
second we all know who the cheap batard is:PS3
and last of all the greatest middle ground is:XBOX360
however you cant get legend of zelda for the 360 so i'm goin wii all the way BABY
