Abrams and King Making 'Dark Tower?'

Posted February 14, 2007 - By Mike D'Alonzo

It's well known that JJ Abrams and Stephen King are, like, fanboys for each other. King is a huge Lost fan, and takes every opportunity to admit it to whomever will listen. Abrams, in the meantime, has come out and admitted that Lost is, at least partially, based on The Stand. So, it's only natural that the two men would want to work togehter. Now comes word that they are developing The Dark Tower series of books for...well, they're not exactly sure yet.

Abrams' Bad Robot production company is taking the project into consideration, and the frontrunner for what to do with the seven-book series is make episodic television out of it, but there's still a chance it could be a film, or a series of films. In either event, it's going to be great when it happens, because these books are awesome.
