Last year, 50 Cent signed a bunch of old and new comers to his G-Unit label, including vets Mobb Deep and newbies Young Hot Rod and Olivia.
Well, Mobb Deep’s album came out and flopped, Olivia’s is still being worked on, and Hot Rod’s is due out by the end of ’07.
But what of Brownsville swingers M.O.P., whose CD has reportedly been in the can for months? According to G-Unit biz-man Sha Money XL, M.O.P.’s album has no release date because Lil’ Fame and Billy Danze are just too ugly and to damn hard!
"Honestly, I think they have an amazing album," Sha Money recently told MTV. "Those kinds of guys, you just can't market; you got to just let them run wild. They're some ugly guys — what you want to do, get them a face-lift? You got to just not spend too much money and make it a profitable situation. I would like to say, 'Yeah, [they're gonna come out this year],' but I don't wanna lie."
While the G-Unit label keep the ugly-but-always-amazing M.O.P. on hold, they will find time to release new efforts by pretty-but-pretty-awful Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo. Good move, geniuses!
