I'm glad I wasn't in charge of the new map-pack for Call of Duty 3.
Acitvision dropped a free multiplayer map on Xbox Live last week, and COD players lined up for the content. After all, it was free. The plan was to drum up business for "The Valor Pack," a full map-pack consisting of five new battlefields that cost players 800 Microsoft points.
Awesome, right? Except the maps don't work.
"We understand that there are problems with the Valor map pack once it is downloaded--we are working closely with Microsoft on this right now, and we will have the issue resolved as soon as we possibly can," a post on Xbox.com from COD developer Treyarch reads. "Please hold tight, and I will follow up with an update as soon as we're closer to a solution."
I'm sure they'll straighten things out in a hurry, but I bet things are pretty...oh...tense over at their offices.
