Back in the day, the only thing NASA had to worry about were the Russians...
It seems that the former Soviet Union is a thing of the past as the People's Republic of China has boldly blown up something that no country has blown up before....a satellite.
As U.S intelligence slowly reveals the event that took place on January 11th, it appears that the Chinese "performed a successful anti-satellite (asat) weapons test" that destroyed "an aging Chinese weather satellite with a kinetic kill vehicle launched on board a ballistic missile" at an altitude of more than 500 miles.
NASA, the CIA and National Security Agency responded with "Oh, snap!"
If this test was indeed a success, who knows, maybe the US will pump billions of dollars into a Reagan-like proposal to develop a Death Star.
Who wants to throw the switch?
