Apple's iTunes Going Indie

Will Apple ever stop? Now, in addition to being able to get just about any music you can think of, and most television shows, you’ll be able to find your favorite Sundance shorts on Apple’s iTunes store.

So far, Apple has secured permission to sell downloads for 33 of the 71 shorts that will be screening at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The shorts will cost $1.99 for download and the majority of the download cost will go the filmmakers. The remainder will be divided among Apple, the Sundance Institute, and the Sundance Channel.

Honestly, thank you Apple. Now I don’t have to hide in shame over going online to illegally download all of those shorts.
