So is it any wonder then that the latest entry into the franchise is selling like hotcakes? In fact, it’s sold so well we should start saying that hotcakes have sold like Madden NFL 07. No less than five million copies, across ten platforms have been sold to date, topping a remarkable first week where two million copies flew off store shelves.
That first week players got into the game in a whole new way with the Nintendo Wii and its innovative Wiimote and earned 600,000 achievements on the Xbox 360, not to mention the over two million hours of play logged on Xbox Live.
Rarely is there cause to pop the cork on a fine Merlot to commemorate a videogame, but consider the cork popped…and Madden fans drunk!
