If you are the jetsetting type and always need a Wi-Fi connection, Earthlink may be the way to go.
Hooking up cities like Philadelphia, San Francisco and Anaheim over the past year, you can now find that Earthlink Wi-Fi hotzone in New Orleans and Milpitas....uh, where?
Yup, good 'ol Milpitas, California.
Home to Silicon Valley, this little known gold mine is where you and I get half of our internet goodies from. So, next time you ask why a city with only a population of 65K is being hooked up with Wi-Fi, you can answer cause they make the internet.
With service plans that range from $21.95 per month for a symmetrical 1 megabit per second downstream and upstream to a one-hour pass for $3.95 and a three-day pass for $15.95, Earthlink wants to make their service work with your lifestyle.
Oh and being that time of the season, Earthlink is giving away free service to those less fortunate in New Orleans with a 300-kilobits per second plan for residents and businesses trying to reclaim some normalcy to their lives.
Way to go Earthlink, if only you had been so generous with competitive pricing for DSL service when I had to drop you for AT&T....doh!
