I love the idea of the indie game scene. Just as indie films provide a more personal antidote to Hollywood's lowest-common-denominator approach, indie games are providing fun, unique experiences that don't need to make 15 million dollars to break even, and aren't re-treads of games we've played since 1997.
This unique spirit is the backbone of all the indie-gaming nominees for The 9th Annual Independent Games Festival announced the finalists for best indie games today.
