Apple To Enter Gaming Market?

Okay, I know this meme comes up on the regular, but the rumor that Apple is thinking of entering the console market is rearing its beautiful, beautiful head again. Games on iPods seems like it should have happened years ago, but many feel 'Pod gaming is just the begining.

Prudential analyst Jesse Tortora had this to say on the matter: "We think the video game market represents a distinct possibility for Apple, especially considering that it recently announced the availability of video games for its iPod through its iTunes store."

So... Tortora feels that Apple might make a console. Forget for a second about the raging, heated, bloody console battle already going on, and think about this: Would an Apple console be cool or sucky? Also, what would it be like?

Personally, I see an Apple console as being incredibly smug, hip and self-congratulatory, Like TheFeed's DVinson.
