Fox, in a rare display of good judgement, has decided to cancel production on the He-Man film they were developing with John Woo in mind as the director. Paul Walker was additionally rumored to be attached as the titular He-Man. No word on who was going to be She-Ra.
You know what? This is a colossally bad idea for a film, and it's great that Fox exercised judgement in cutting the root of this nasty plant before it grew any further. Not every television show that ever existed deserves a film version. Just because you make The Transformers, doesn't mean you have to make He-Man, or Jem, or Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
But a Banana Splits movie would be just fine.
