This Friday, Billboard magazine is introducing a new ringtone chart measuring weekly sales of the top 20 master ringtones in the U.S.

The lame old chart, Hot Ringtones, debuted in late 2004 and only tracked polyphonic ringtones, using data collected from various ringtone aggregators

But the new chart, called Hot RingMasters, measures master ringtone, which feature snippets of the actual song as opposed to a synthesized cover.

The first No. 1 on Hot RingMasters belongs to Akon. His "Smack That," with Eminem. Akon also has the top selling download, "I Wanna Love You" with Snoop Dogg.

I have a feeling Akon is very, very rich man...
