The FBI wans to secure your IP address when you're online so that they can see exactly where you surf and what you say, who you browse, and who you talk to, all in the name of keeping you "safe" from terrorists and predators.
I'll take my chance with the terrorists. I mean, yes, there is a slight chance that something bad might happen to me as a result. Statistically, however, I would bet that over time the chances are roughly the same for any American to die at the hands of a terrorist attack as they are for being eaten by a shark.
Yes, airport security is absolutely necessary. Checking you out when you enter a stadium or a national monument makes sense. Other than that, stay out of my house, my bedroom, my computer, and my mind.
Living in the United States guarantees you the right to your predilcetions and perversions, regardless of who else might find them distasteful.
