What’s up, B?
Those of you who have been studying your chicken and saving your sci-fi wasabi for a special occasion (you know who you are), listen up. In two weeks, Miho Hatori, one half of the most delightful band of all time (there’s really no better way to put it), Cibo Matto, drops her debut solo album.
Yep, SEVEN YEARS after Cibo Matto’s last record, Stereo Type A, and following various side projects and collabo’s, including Butter 08 and, most notably, The Gorillaz, Miss Hatori is back front and center with the release of Ecdysis on October 24.
The album release is accompanied by a kick-ass animated video for the song, "Barracuda" (not a Heart cover), and a 10-city slot on the Hotel Café Tour through the upper Midwest (including a detour down South to Louisville).
I don’t know about you, but this record just vaulted to # 2 on my personal “Most Exciting Things of Fall 07” * list, just behind the St. Louis Cardinals playoff run, and ahead of Gears of War.
* Not an actual list, mind you, as it only exists in my head.
