Faded pop star George Michael is getting a wee bit political on his new tour.
And by wee bit, I mean, he accompanied his anti-war song “Shoot The Dog” (which likens Tony Blair to George Bush's poodle) with a cartoon depicting Bush, Blair and the Prime Minister's wife Cherie in bed together, and a hideous, large Bush balloon to which Michaels unzipped the trousers of so a British bulldog draped with the UK flag could pop out of the crotch. The dog was stuck to the inflated crotch, wagging its tail.
The 16,000-strong Barcelona crowd began “whistling uncomfortably” during the song, which was featured in the set during the first night of his comeback tour, his first in 15 years.
I wonder what Andrew Ridgley thinks of his former Wham!-mate now? Eh, he probably think he’s hot….
