Amazon Launches iTunes Killer

Amazon.com launched a movie downloading service today, in hopes of killing Apple's iTunes.

Amazon Unbox will offer TV shows for $1.99 per episode, and most movies will go for $7.99 to $14.99; movies can also be "rented" for $3.99.

Apple is expected to enter into the movie-download services. An announcement from Jobs' house is expected next week.

Because TheFeed is ceaslessly negative, here's what's wrong with the Unbox.

I love the first rule: no Macs or iPods. Wonder who they're trying to compete with? Seriously though, I would think that if I paid for a movie I bought the rights to do with it what I please.

i think everyone should just stop all this ipod itunes killer crap nothings is going to screw them up unless they do so just team up with them it'll give them better business
