A rare-car-collecting lawyer just forked over the Batmobile circa 1995 for $350K!
Yes, John O'Quinn Esq., who made his fortune via a tobacco lawsuit settlement, went on a shopping spree where he bought Batman’s legendary ride, as well as a celebrity-signed 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo for $500,000, a 1938 Cadillac 90 Series Town Car used by the Vatican and owned by Nicola Bulgari for $250,000, and a 1941 Packard Super 8 Lebaron limousine that was used by both FDR and Harry Truman for $290,000.
But this isn’t the first time this idiot, er…attorney, has spend outrageous amounts of money on stupid, er…interesting, things. Last year, O'Quinn spent $690,000 for Pope John Paul II's old '75 Ford Escort.
The good thing is that his money went to a children's charity. The bad thing the Batmobile he bought was from Batman Forever, which wasn’t even a good movie! I mean, c’mon, dude. At least ya shoulda gotten the whip from the first flick or the TV series! Now every time he sits in it he has to wonder if Chris O'Donnell tinkled in it (you know…’cause he’s a girl!).
